Today many of us from San Clemente went up the Portoviejo river via a local fishing boat. 10 of us loaded into a boat in front of Palmazul hotel. I have to apologize now, I had some technical camera issues, so many of my pics are not sharp. The compositions were so good, I had to include a couple of pics that are less than clear.
Anyway, we had a great time.
Loading up.
Looking north to the point.

Our guide up front in the boat.
We headed north and got a rare glimpse of Bikini Point from the ocean view. Then we turned around, headed south, and found the “boca”, the mouth of the river. The captain expertly drove the boat so we would be right behind a wave as it moved towards shore. It was really smooth, almost no rocking of the boat at all.
We saw many types of birds. Pelicans
Pelicans
Pelicans and Frigates.
Cormorants (sp?) These are the birds that swim in the water for fish.
Egrets

My turn to drive. I made sure to keep it slow…
